Stewart & Nicks touring anew this summer

Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks had such a good time on last year’s “Heart & Soul” tour, they’ve decided to give it another go this summer.

Right now, there are only 4 dates slotted, starting July 20 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, but more shows can’t be far behind. Last year, the two stars played for over three hours to elated fans, and sets included favorites from Nicks’ and Stewart’s individual catalogs of music,  in addition to some duets sprinkled in the mix.

“I couldn’t be happier to be back on the boards with Stevie this summer,” Stewart said. “We had fantastic fun on the road together last spring and I’m thrilled at the chance to bring it to new cities and fans this summer.”

Stewart’s love affair with standards is sure to be a heavy focus of the show. His most recent release is the 2010 Fly Me To The Moon…The Great American Songbook Volume V. Nicks’ released her seventh studio album, In Your Dreams, in May 2011.  Tickets for this tour start going on sale March 2.

Illness pushes back Stewart-Nicks tour opener

Clearly the flu season is far from over, having claimed its latest celebrity victim: Rod Stewart.

Stewart and Stevie Nicks were scheduled to start their co-headlining “Heart & Soul” tour on March 20, but Stewart’s illness has forced them to cancel the first few dates. As of now, the show will go on starting with tonight’s performance at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla.

Refunds for ticketholders of the cancelled shows are available at the original point of purchase. At the moment, there appears to be no plans to reschedule, but that could change.

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks team up for North American Tour

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks have announced their first ever co-headlining tour, dubbed the “Heart & Soul 2011 North American Tour.”

The rock legends will kick off the tour on March 20 at Fort Lauderdale’s Bank Atlantic Center and wrap things up on April 16 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Along the way, the duo have stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden on March 26; Montreal’s Bell Centre on April 1; Chicago’s United Center on April 9; the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix on April 15, and more!

Rod Stewart comes to Sin City this November

Rod Stewart is coming to The Colosseum At Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas for eight special performances this November.

The gigs, which are presented by Ceasars and AEG Live, will bring Stewart into a more intimate setting where he’ll share top hits from his 50+ years spent in the music industry.

“For some years now, AEG Live has been wanting me to do a residency show in Vegas,” Stewart told pollstar.com. “I decided it was time to give it a try but I thought ‘first, let’s try two weeks instead of two years though.”

“Who knows what this could lead to? I know that my band, background singers and I are going to enjoy performing in such an intimate setting and having the chance for the fans to be in close proximity while hearing all the hits,” he said.

Rod Stewart tickets are available for Sin City performances on Nov. 6-7, 10, 14, 17-18 and 20-21.

Rod Stewart’s “lost” album–found!

Today, Rhino Records released Rod Stewart’s lost album, titled “Once in a Blue Moon.”

“Blue Moon” was originally recorded in 1992, featuring 10 cover songs from well-known bands like Bob Dylan and Steve Nicks. Stewart’s official Web site calls it “Maestro Stewart at his interpretive best - that magnificent voice yearning, pleading, and shouting in all its gravelly glory.”
